It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacqueline Seal Jenkins Major of Amite, Louisiana, who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Ernest Jenkins and Era Seal Jenkins; and her brother-in-law Mike Adlong. She is survived by: her husband J. D. Major; her children, Jacqueline Crowe (Darrell), Chuck Vilardo (Sandee), Kimberlyn Eberhardt (Gary), Scott Vilardo (Laurie) and Jon Major (Samantha); her grandchildren, D. J. Crowe (Whitney), Garrett Johnson (Stephanie), Tyler Vilardo (Courtney), Mallory Sprehe, Roman Vilardo (Faith), Tanner Vilardo, Kristie Major and Blake Major; her stepgrandson Rafael Estrada; and her sister JoAnn Adlong of Texas. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
After a long and courageous battle against Parkinson's Disease, Jackie finally lost her fight.
