It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Guilbeau Scarle of Amite, Louisiana, born in Plaucheville, Louisiana, who passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband George "Porgie" M. Scarle, III; her parents, Gilroy Guilbeau and Mary Lee Guilbeau; and her sister-in-law Isabelle "Tizzie" K. Eckholdt. She is survived by: her children, Stacey Scarle and George "Pat" M. Scarle, IV (Darla Henderson Scarle); her grandchildren, Garrett Mason Scarle and Kaely Laine Scarle; her siblings, Paula Hairford (Warren), Arleen Wells (Willie), Wayne Guilbeau (Sandra) and Jeffrey Guilbeau (Rene); and her brother-in-law Mike Scarle (Peggy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
