He was predeceased by: his parents, Faye Cutrer Booty and Homer J. Booty; his siblings, Verlin (Mary Booty) and Dois (Clarence "Tut" Young); his parents-in-law, Vince and Lucy Cavaretta; and his siblings-in-law, Dolly Booty, Juanita Booty and Bobby Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Cavaretta Booty; his children, Vikki Pitre and Keith Cavaretta (Kelly); his grandchildren, Anna Cavaretta, Chris Cavaretta and Landon Dufrene; his siblings, Betty Simpson, Alton Booty and Dennis Booty; and his friend Darlene Cavaretta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the McKneely Funeral Home - Amite (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Helena Catholic Church (122 S 1st St, Amite City, LA 70422).
