She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Bennett and Opal Bennett; her children, John Shaffett, Jr. and Diane Chapman; her grandsons, Jessie Chapman, Jr. and Johnathan Chapman; her children-in-law, Lisa Shaffett, Jessie Chapman, Sr. and Fred Porter; her great grandchild Landon Prokop; and her siblings, Phinney Sullivan, Nola Bennett, Susan Payne, Lavada Cutrer, Aline Newcomb, Thomas Bennett and Ellis Bennett.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Porter (Tom), Frank Shaffett (Kim) and Tom Mignalt; her grandchildren, Velma Chapman, Shasta Anthony, Darrell Anthony, Frank Shaffett, Jr., Veronica Anthony, John Shaffett, Shaun Shaffett and Nick Foster; and her great grandchildren, Dalton Hutchinson, Landyn Milton, Alyssa Hutchinson, Ian Chauvin, Breanna Bates, Sara Anthony, Natalie Hutchinson, Conner Shaffett, Hunter Shaffett, Blue McLain, Ali Shaffett and Jase Lowery.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McKneely Funeral Home (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the McKneely Funeral Home - Amite (110 E Factory St, Amite City, LA 70422).
