He was predeceased by: his spouse Bernell Roberts; and his siblings, Bessie, Glory, Maguerite, Joyce, Ernestine and Ernest.
He is survived by: his children, Byron Johnson (Terri Johnson) and Derrick Johnson (Cynthia Johnson) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.; and his sister Ruby Nell Weary of Bogalusa, LA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cook-Richmond & Sons Funeral Home (638 N Columbia St, Bogalusa, LA 70427). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
