She is survived by: her husband James Maples; her children, Heather Hall (Chris), Sarah Hughes (B. K.) and Aaron Maples (Gillian); her grandchildren, Ashtin Hall, Aubrie Melancon, Bryce Hall, Kavin Hall, Sutton Melancon, Beckham Melancon, Ian Hughes, Emi Hughes and Weslyn Maples; her siblings, Sylvia Bell (Bobby) and Jerry Hartzog (Stacy); her siblings-in-law, Sally Champagne (Danny) and Delton Maples; and her friend Gita Baughman. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for blood donations in her name.
