With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jerry Burgess Callender of Arcadia, Louisiana, who passed away on October 8, 2025 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerry Burgess Callender to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Callender and Mary Callender. He is survived by: his wife Martha Callender; his daughters, Susan Richardson (Mark) and Claire Carlisle (Kent); his grandchildren, John Richardson (Sandra), Nick Richardson, Ben Carlisle (Lindsey), Clark Carlisle (Hailey) and Annie Robertson (Cameron); and his brother T. C. Callender (Dianne). He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Arcadia (2122 Myrtle St, Arcadia, LA 71001). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Arcadia.
