We announce the death of Juanita Frye of Arcadia, Louisiana, born in Athens, Louisiana, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 89. Juanita will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmett McBride and Estelle McBride; her former husband Drew Dobbins; her husband James Frye; and her siblings, Mildred Pate, Collier McBride, Robeline Martinez, Eula Faye Cole and Kennon Ray McBride.
She is survived by: her sons, Barry Dobbins (Janet) and Terry Dobbins (Karen); her stepson David Frye; her sister Edna Fern Zappa; her grandchildren, Michelle Cline, Kyle Dobbins (Montie), Jeremy Dobbins (Heather), Jason Dobbins (Tarrah), Michael Dobbins (Sarah), Kristyn Anglin (Michael) and Allison Dobbins; and her great grandchildren, Daxton, Ella, Everly, Brilee, Cormac, Rosalyn, Olivia, Silas, Alaina, Madison, Hayden, Sophia, Mollie, Noah and Jasper. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
To honor Juanita's generous spirit, donations may be made to the Louisiana Methodist Children's Home in lieu of flowers.
