She was predeceased by: her parents, Leila Roden Butler and Thomas Y. Butler; her brother Robert Y. Butler; and her husband Bobby Joe Simpson. She is survived by: her sons, Joel Thomas Simpson, Barry Roden Simpson and Robert Christopher Simpson; and her grandchildren, Joseph Bryant Simpson, James Landon Simpson and Ainsley Leann Simpson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Methodist Children's Home in Ruston, Louisiana.
