The memory of Mauver Penix Woods of Arcadia, Louisiana, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 95, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Penix and Ruby Almond Penix (James Clifton Woods); her daughter Linda Chandler; and her siblings, Juanita Sanders, Lavelle Penix and Hardy Penix.
She is survived by: her sons, Jimmy Woods (Barbara), Steve Woods and Ricky Woods (Sharra); her grandchildren, Haley Woods, Morgan Moore, James Clifton Woods, Cheyenne Reed (Jordan), Dusty Woods, Whitney Woods, Chris Chandler (Christy) and Brad Chandler (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Chloe, Aden, Allee, Bella, Clinton, Xander, Reminton, Bryson, Olivia, Kayden, Hadley, Connor, Casey, McKenzie and Colton; and her great great grandchild Elijah. She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rose-Neath Funeral Homes - Arcadia (1680 1st St, Arcadia, LA 71001). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hurricane Cemetery.
