He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Lastrapes, Sr. and Rita Colon; his brothers, James Lastrapes (Jerry) and Sidney Lastrapes, Jr. (Madlyn); and his nephews, Blaine Barry and Chris Lastrapes.
He is survived by: his sister Kitty Barry (Frank) of Sunset. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Melancon Funeral Home (224 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512). A rosary was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, August 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the St. Francis Regis Catholic Church (232 Main St, Arnaudville, LA 70512).
