He was predeceased by: his wife Ina "Marie" Wroten; his mother Laura Freeman (Rachel Marcantel); his siblings, Pete Freeman and Coonie Cain; and his grandson Eddie Merritt.
He is survived by: his children, Ray Wroten (Laura), Lee Wroten (MeLissa) and Tammy Merritt (Paul); his grandchildren, Brittany Stewart (Bobby), Roman Merritt, Berkleigh and Brynleigh Stewart; his siblings, Louis Freeman, Leo Freeman, Jeff Needham, Joyce Adams, Peggy Merchant, Polly Spring and Kay Williams; his grandsons, Hunter Wroten and Tristan Merritt; his son-in-law Paul Merritt; his brothers, Stevie Adams and Louis Freemen; and his nephew Danny Adams.
