He is survived by: his wife Diane Jennings Knaps; his children, Charles Edward Knaps III and Anna Knaps Dubois (Klay); his grandchildren, Kinsley Marie Knaps, Kage Sawyer Knaps, Kash Edward Knaps, Olivia Grace Dubois and Charlie; and his sister-in-law Sandra Corkern.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (6213 Groom Rd, Baker, LA 70714).
