He was predeceased by : his parents, Marcus Owens Jones and Gwendolyn Bostwick Jones. He is survived by : his son Marcus Paul Jones; his stepchildren, Patrick Duncan and Amanda Duncan; and his siblings, Mark Jones, Marcus "Steve" Jones, Shannon Jones Martin and Susan Jones Day. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
