He was predeceased by : his parents, Emmett Smith and Elma Smith; his former life partner Rita Mae Phillips Smith; his wife Dolores Ard Smith; and his sister Dot (Donna Douglas).
He is survived by : his children, Pamela Vaccaro (Nicky), Lynne Kennedy (Jim), Michael Smith (Charlene) and Brad Smith; and his grandchildren, Tasha Daniel, Ashley Gebbia, Sean Vaccaro, Mikelyn Sumner, Michael Smith, Mandy Johnson, Kirstie, Destiny, Alyssa, Aaliyah and Jaden. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
