She was predeceased by: her parents, Napoleon Patterson and Iva Lee Patterson; her siblings, Rena Mitchell, Daisy Armour, Margaret Taylor, Gerald, Nathaniel, Marcel and James Patterson; and her daughter-in-law Joan Surgent.
She is survived by: her children, Montrel A. Surgent Sr. and Donna Patterson Gage; her grandchildren, Keisha Lavallais, Nikita Pierre, Montrel A. Surgent Jr., Stephen P. Gage and Christopher N. Gage; and her great grandchildren, Angel Nelson, Allison Harris, Montrel A. Surgent III, Lyric L. Gage, Christopher N. Gage II and Melody M. Gage. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (2022 St Bernard Ave, New Orleans, LA 70116). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
