It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Williams (Baker, Louisiana), who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ohmer E. Slack and Bessie Brannigan Slack; her daughter Rita Logan; her granddaughter Kimberly Logan Drell; her son-in-law George D. Button; and her siblings, Clarence Slack (Myrtle), Norman Slack (Marion), Rita Lindsey (Terry), Alice Croak (Jerry), Margaret Gamotis (Roland) and Laura Curry (John).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Robert E. "Bobby" Williams (Kakie), Clarence Eugene "Gene" Williams and Barbara Williams Button; her grandchildren, Stephen Williams (Sandi), Brian Williams, Patrick Williams, Jennifer Williams Buckley (Rob), Tracy Button Arnold (Brad), Chris Button (Carrie), Drew Button, Sr. (Tara) and Cory Williams (Aimee); her great grandchildren, Ryan W., Samantha, Kayla, Emily Grace, Andrew, Jr. (Maddie), Colin, Abby, Claire, Lucas W., Ryan A., Holly (Micah), Ashleigh (Adam), Lillee and Landree; and her great great grandchildren, Lucas P. and Adeline. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home (6401 Groom Rd, Baker, LA 70714). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (6213 Groom Rd, Baker, LA 70714).
