She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Meade and Jewell Meade; her son Cody Tucker Slaughter; and her siblings, Charlene Evans, Hershel Meade, Bobby Meade and C. Wade Meade.

She is survived by: her daughter Jessica Butler (Jeffrey); her siblings, Dan Meade (Linda), Sandra Meade and Betty Boren (Donald); her grandchildren, Minley Parker (Garrett), Devin Manning, Tucker Futrell, Alyssa Butler and Cale Butler; and her great grandchild Adalida Jewell Parker. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
