He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Thornhill and Ann Thornhill; his wife Jean Paul Thornhill; and his brothers, Jack, Floyd, Rusty and Bill Thornhill.
He is survived by: his daughter Leslie Fortunato (Niko); his grandson Jacob LeMaire; his sisters, Millie Claes (Jerry) and Liz Nordin (Jim); his niece Joy Maltempi (Steve); and his nephews, Stewart Thornhill (Becky) and Mark Thornhill (Maria). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
