He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Massey and Gertie "Mee Maw" Massey; his sisters, Betty Shirley and Marga Lockard; and his former wife Mary Lee Jones Massey.
He is survived by: his sons, James W. "Jim" Massey, Jr. (Dianne) and Carl Massey (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Joel Massey, Joy Massey, James D. Massey, Hailey Massey and Brock Massey; his great grandchild Chloe Massey; and his sister Joanna Goodin (Ron). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gallagher Funeral Home (3994 Monroe Hwy, Ball, LA 71405). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
