He was predeceased by : his parents, Daryl Hunter and Ruth Collins Hunter. He is survived by : his wife Leah Deville Hunter; his stepsons, Robert Morrisette (Jen) and Taylor Reed; his grandsons, Owen, Andrew and Luke; and his in-laws, Shannon Deville (Terri), Dana Belgard (Jason) and Casey Morrisette (Bryan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Palestine Methodist Church (306 Tioga Rd, Ball, LA 71405).
