He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Leroy and Emma Cassell of Virginia; his brother Milton E. Cassell; his wife Linda Hodges Cassell; and his granddaughter Kayla Cassell Breimel.
He is survived by: his children, Larry "Buddy" Cassell, Jr., Travis Cassell (Gina) and Karen Cassell; his stepchildren, Kimberly Hodges Eustice (Travis), Amy Hodges Olvey (Michael) and Jason Hodges (Jenny); and his sisters, Donna Cassell Wood (Michael) and Pam Cassell Poole. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
