It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Nelson Slider (Ball, Louisiana), who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Slider Sr. and Ruth Rankin Smith; his wife Gloria Tanner Slider; his siblings, Robert Slider Jr. and Eloise Gray; his son Lance Slider; and his grandson-in-law Peter Cephas.
He is survived by: his daughter Angel; his son-in-law Jeff Ray; his son Jack Slider (Stephanie Semons); his sisters, Margie Curtis and Barbara Allen; and his grandchildren, Johnny Coffey, Mandy Coffey, Shannon Coffey, Clint Estep, Taylor Smith, Malvin Torres, Chancey, Sam French, Jessica, Eathon Liles, Sydney, Benjamin Ross and Harley Stewart. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
