She was predeceased by: her husband John Powell; her parents, Florence Holston and Arrington Holston; her children, Cynthia Roberts and Robert Powell; her brothers, Ray and Howard Holston; and her great grandchild Nash Powell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alisha Ingles (Scott) and Angela Bruce; her sisters, Lucy Beckin and Lillian Holston; and her grandchildren, Mandy Roberts, Ryan (Lindsay), Jared Ingles, Adam (Candace), Jonathon Zell (Jessica), Caleb (Catherine), Jacob Powell and Matthew Carlin (Hailey).
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Coleman Cemetery.
The family would like to express gratitude to Compassionate Care Hospice for their care of Ouida and ask, in leu of flowers, for donations to a special non-profit, STAR, at 1403 Metro Drive, Building F, in Alexandria, LA.
