He was predeceased by: his son Virgil Lee Bolyer, Jr.; his grandmother Leola Button; and his siblings, Wayne, Larry, Charles Bolyer and Geneva Bolyer.
He is survived by: his daughters, EDee Bolyer Coleman, Daphane Bolyer Clinkscales and Susie Bolyer Gitau; his mother Susie Bolyer; and his brothers, Thomas, Edward and Ralph Bolyer. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and his stepchildren.
