He was predeceased by : his parents, Mae Irene Thompson and George Kenneth Musgrove, Sr.; his siblings, Roxanne Barton, Lollie Elkins, Joyce Dupree and Jerry Musgrove; and his siblings-in-law, Velda Moore Musgrove and John "Shorty" Dupree.

He is survived by : his children, Amanda Musgrove of Texas and Adrian Musgrove of Texas; his siblings, Catherine Harrell, Sam Musgrove, Johnny Musgrove (Fredia) and Larry Musgrove (Elva); his sister-in-law Ginger Musgrove; and his close friend Katherine Tubbs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
