Christy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Christy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. She was predeceased by: her brother Scott Garcia; and her grandparents, Benny K. Barton, Sr., Ruby Nell King and Joseph Edward King. She is survived by: her parents, Sharron King Quick and Benny K. Barton, Jr. (Tracie); her grandmother Elgie Lee Case; her children, Chelsea Absher and Jason Grubbs; and her siblings, Gracey Barton, Michael King (Christy), Harley Barton and Lance McLarrin (Amber). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home (2016 E Madison Ave, Bastrop, LA 71220).
