He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy Shopher Brown; his son Bobby Allen Brown; and his parents, Dewey Edward and Erline Brown. He is survived by: his daughter Pamela K. Deloney; his siblings, James "Bo" Brown and Martha "Molly" Galloway; his daughter-in-law Crystal Brown; and his grandchildren, Brandy Bayless, Shannon Bayless and Allen-Michael Brown. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as many extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home.
