She was predeceased by: the father of her children Eddie Bryan; her parents, Emmit Pennington and Iva Dora Smith; her children, Vadis Townsend, Freddie Bryan and Joyce Stuart; her siblings, Cliffee Oden, Mamie Wisecarver, Molly Dowden, Richard Pennington, Laurence Pennington and Don Pennington; and her grandchildren, Nicki Dozier, Gia Stovall, Theresa Bryan and Diane Townsend.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Oglesby of Monroe, LA and Marilyn Carter Brown of Prairieville, LA; and her grandchildren, Sherry Kay Williams, Becky Tribe, Debbie Carter Jenkins, Shelia Pearson, Sandra Carter, Leslie Riner, Veronica Martins, Shawn Pace, Brandy Pace and Darren Oglesby. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
