He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel Ann Williams Day; his mother Jessie Wyles Day; his siblings, David Day, Nolan Day, Stafford Day, Huey Day, Aubrey Day (Muriel), Marie Day Cassles, LaDell Day Swillie (J. W.) and Joyce Day Armstrong Gorman (Frank); his brothers-in-law, Frank Gorman, Jr. and William Gorman; his granddaughter Megan Jackson; his niece Lynn Day Bolden; and his nephew Dennis Day.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Gene Day, Rachel Gayla Day Gambino and Terry Douglas Day (Tracy); his sister Gayle Day Gorman; his sister-in-law Mary Alice Day; his grandchildren, Morgan Day, Ashley, Meagan Day Payne, Sebastian Day, Jenny Welch, Kelly Welch, Nicholas Gambino, Savannah Day, Devin, Melissa Holley and Timothy Holley; his adoptive children, Tracy Cubbit, Candy Holley (Tim) and Rob Day; his nephews, Johnny Day and Robert Day; and his niece Toni Jean Conway. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
