She was predeceased by : her parents, Joe Frank and Virginia Helen McKoin. She is survived by : her daughter Mindy Tessa McKoin; her grandchildren, Zuri Jean Ma and Zia Lei Ma of Virginia; her brother Frankie Dean (Judy McKoin); and her nephews, Kris (Ginger McKoin) and Jason (Michelle McKoin).

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting people can donate to the Alzheimer's Association, American Cancer Society or any charity of their choice.
