He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Adams Freeland; his parents, Earl Freeland and Mildred Freeland; his brother Tommy Freeland; and his daughter Laurie Freeland McIntyre Haynes.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Freeland Thomas (Bob), Karol Freeland Handy and Earl Freeland, Jr. (Alison); and his siblings, Jerry Freeland, Avanell Bennett and Becky Morrison. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
