She was predeceased by: her husband Fred Sivils; her parents, Louis Scoggins and Sadie Adcock Scoggins; her children, Joni Sivils Gilmore and David Sivils; her siblings, Margaret Scoggins Nolan (Jerry), Sybil Scoggins Stevenson (Leroy), Hazel Scoggins Lambert (Harry), Aubrey Scoggins, Eldred Scoggins (Betty), Billy Scoggins and Jack Scoggins; and her siblings-in-law, Lane Strahan, Doyle Sivils, Ferrell Sivils (Pearline), Earl Sivils (Margie), Bill Sivils (Debbie), Ralph Doss, Linda Sivils and William Marion Sivils.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Sivils Kinney (Junior Kinney) and Michael Sivils; her sister Sadie Scoggins Strahan; her grandchildren, Chris Lewis, Jordan Newberry (Lauren), Jeremy Sivils, Adam Kinney (Megan), Emilee Kinney, Vanessa Sivils, Jarrod Wyatt and Jacob Gilmore; her great grandchildren, Jaycelynn Kinney and Brylon Kinney; her son-in-law Brad Gilmore; her sisters-in-law, Janice Sivils, Glenda Doss, Jean Scoggins and Mary Dale Scoggins; and her close friend Donna Savage. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home (2016 E Madison Ave, Bastrop, LA 71220).
Memorial donations may be made to the National Cancer Society or to Operation Christmas Child Fund at Cherry Ridge Baptist Church.
