He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Jones and Alice Jones; and his siblings, Albert Lloyd Jones, Edgar Leon Jones, Charles Sidney Jones, Kenneth Jones, Mary Alice Hale and Kathryn Cumpton.
He is survived by: his wife Dossie Cranford Jones; his siblings, Martha Black (Wayne) of West Monroe, LA, Carolyn Fay Jones of Rayville, LA, Etta M. Jones of Mer Rouge, LA and Gerald DeWayne "Shorty" Jones of Bastrop, LA; his grandson Sidney Jones of Bastrop, LA; and his nephew Josh Cranford. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Assembly of God (10678 Crossett Rd, Bastrop, LA 71220). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
