He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Barnes; his parents, Lee Barnes and Minnie Barnes; and his brother Leroy Barnes. He is survived by: his daughters, Kristie B. Sistrunk (DeWayne) of Bastrop, LA and Jennifer B. Watson of Baton Rouge, LA; his siblings, Martha McMasters of Denham Springs, LA, Greg Barnes (Cheryl) of Austin, TX, Rev. Paul Barnes (Debbie) of Lufkin, TX and Rev. Peter Barnes (Gina) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Rev. Brandon Sistrunk (Ashley), Rev. Andrew Sistrunk (Laura) and Mckenna Watson; and his great grandchildren, Riley Sistrunk, Landon Sistrunk, Macie Sistrunk, Nora Sistrunk, Kayden Gilbert, Kamren Sistrunk, Kolby Sistrunk and Kingston Sistrunk. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the North Bastrop Church of God (358 Holt St, Bastrop, LA 71220).
