He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clifton Shaw and Nellie Alford Shaw; his in-laws, Carl and Etoyal Patrick Riser; and his siblings-in-law, Delton Riser (Pete), Cary Riser, Beth Riser Goff, Wilma Riser White, Patsy Riser Gardner and Carolyn Riser Haralson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Riser Shaw; his children, Wendy Joy Shaw Willcutt (Allen Willcutt) and Paul Stephen Shaw (Dotti Barton Shaw); his grandchildren, Brady Willcutt (Katherine), Alli Willcutt Johnson (Ben), Brennan Willcutt, Jon Paul Shaw and Anna Kate Shaw; his great grandchildren, John David Willcutt and Gentry Willcutt; and his sister Hilda Jean Shaw Parnell (Felix). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Ephesus Cemetery. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Because of his service to Morehouse Parish, Robert was honored in 1995 with the State of Louisiana Governor's Award for Personal Commitment and Contribution to the Economic Betterment of Louisiana.
