He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Smith; and his sister Barbara Jean Smith Butler. He is survived by: his sister Mary Sue Gandy; his grandchildren, Kelly Baker (Jason), Christie Bonvillian and Amiee Hendricks; his great grandchildren, Tristan Baker, Jasmine Bonvillian, Kaitlyn Kirkland and Kaydence Davis; and his nephew Glen Wayne Butler.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
