He was predeceased by: his parents, Adele Dauzat and Edward Dauzat; his granddaughter Abby Thompson; and his siblings, Harris Dauzat and U. N. Dauzat.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lemoine Dauzat; his children, Sharon Thompson (Gerald Cross), Brian Dauzat (Mindy Montelaro), Michael Dauzat (Jeanine Freeman) and Timothy Dauzat; his siblings, Cleveland Dauzat, Verlena Normand and Juanita Vosburg; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Gaspard, Nellie Barby, Wilson Lemoine and David Lemoine Jr.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Latanache Baptist Church (11520 LA-417, Batchelor, LA 70715). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
