With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alan Cunningham Farries Jr. MD (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan C. Farries Sr. and Gladys Carruth Farries; and his brother William Carruth Farries. He is survived by: his wife Babs McGowen; his children, Kathy Pearce (Allen) of Baton Rouge, Michael Farries of Denver and Paige Farries of Baton Rouge; his grandchildren, Adam, Duncan and Julia Pearce; and his siblings, Gwen Kline (Don) of California, Gail Taber (Bill) of Houston and David Farries (Kathryn) of Houston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank or Hospice of Baton Rouge.
