“I met Mr. Eames through his son about 35 years ago. We were classmates at Southern University. As a tradition we started eating out to celebrate each of our birthdays. Soon after that, I was invited to the family reunions in July, and that is when Andrew said I was officially adopted. In between, we would talk about anything under the sun, and that's when I knew he was a worldly man of experience and wisdom. He loved his family and gently reminded at times that his son was his hero.”
