He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Hales and Wanda Hales; his brothers, Doug and Greg Hales; and the mother of his children Jacqueline Hales.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Coates; his daughters, Mariesa Howe (Paul) and Allison Espeseth (Scott) of Madison, WI; and his grandchildren, Quentin, Stella Howe, Reuben and Gertie Espeseth. He is also survived by his family, his friends and his pets.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church (2025 Stuart Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70808). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the same location.
