He was predeceased by: his son Kelly Thomas Baxley; his parents, Carl Baxley and Sabbie Bordelon Baxley; his siblings, Buck Baxley, Carl Baxley Jr., Margie Ruth Nettles (Roy) and Carrie Stevens (Lewis); and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Baxley, Marguerite Arroyo and Edward Lowry (Claire).
He is survived by: his children, Erin Gatlin (Jeremy) and Shaun Baxley (Tina); his grandchildren, Charlie "CJ" Gatlin, Wyatt Gatlin and Elly Gatlin; his siblings, Sabbie Smith (Paul), Doyle Baxley (Francis) and Eddie Baxley; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Lowry and Claire Groves (Keller). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
