He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Chaffin and Mildred Gwin Holmes; his brother John Richard Holmes; and his grandson Connor Louis Ball. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Mouch Holmes; his daughters, Tara Holmes Ball and Stephanie Holmes Campbell; and his grandson Andrew "Drew" Ball.
Curt was a loyal, dedicated, and loving husband, a true friend, a strong an honorable man who battled multiple cancers, achieving remission shortly before losing his final battle to COVID.
In remembrance of Curt, contributions may be made to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and The National WWII Museum in New Orleans, LA.
