He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Wells and Rosa Howington; and his brother David Wells. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patty" Wells; his daughters, Christina Wells, Ashley Wells and Michelle Castro; his son-in-law Michael Castro; his grandchildren, Alexander "Xander", Emilee, Michael, Makayla, Mariana and Maya; and his brothers, Charles Steven "Steve" Wells (Ruth Wells) and Richard Wells (Buffy Baldwin).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to both the Eden Reforestation Projects (Eden: People + Planet) and Senior Cat Action Network, as Dan looked forward to his evenings on the porches watching and looking at his beautiful plants, and spending time with his two babies, Ginger and Zoro.
