It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Starr Doremus (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Doremus and Virginia Doremus; and his sister Elizabeth Frye. He is survived by: his significant other Gail; his sister Virginia "Ginny" Rottman (Jim); his sons, Blaine and Clay Doremus; and his granddaughters, Helen and Maeven. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Broadmoor United Methodist Church (10230 Mollylea Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70815). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
