He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Gray and Mildred Gray; his wife Shirley Gayden Gray; and his siblings, Robert, Edmond, DeWitt, Jr., Earl, Ezell Gray, Evelena McKenzie, Clara Mae Ross and Alva Mae Williams.
He is survived by: his sons, Eddie Dewitt-Willie Gray (Ella) and Desmond Gray; his grandchildren, Cameron, Calvery and Alexandria Camile Gray; his sisters, Judy Hayward, Janice James and Natasha Gray; his mother-in-law Annie Laura Gayden; his siblings-in-law, Gloria Brooks and David Earl Gayden; his cousins, Lula Jarvis and Deser Ike; Robert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
