She was predeceased by: her children, Kathryn Mary and Lane Joseph; her parents, Ansell "Pete" McAlister and Juanita Webb McAlister; and her brothers, Robert "Bobby" Walker, Muncy McAlister, Oscar McAlister and Ansell McAlister Jr..
She is survived by: her son Simon; her daughter-in-law Lydia Young; her grandchildren, Clay Young (Joli), Cary Young (Valerie), Chantelle Evelyn Howington (Adam) and Wesley "Wes" Broussard (Barbara); her great grandchildren, Jacob Young (Kayleigh), Lane Young, Anthony Zimmerle, Jase Lejeune, Amariah Broussard, Eli Broussard, Canaan Broussard, Blaze Broussard, Wesley Broussard Jr. and Zachary Broussard; and her sister Carolyn Nicolosi. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews and her first great-great grandchild.
