James Andrew Jackson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 18, 2022, James Andrew Jackson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in Little Rock, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Quinten L. Jackson and Mary Jackson of Virginia; his stepmother Helen Dean Jackson; his wife Dorothy "Dot" Truett Jackson; his stepson Thomas "Chris" Matherne II; and his parents-in-law, Bob, Claudine Truett, Gary, Pat and Leigh Truett.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Ellen Stevens (Dave) of Wilmington, NC and William Dean Jackson (Ella) of Albany, GA; his nephews, Thomas, Daniel Stevens and Quinten Jackson; his stepdaughter Kim Gautreaux; his stepdaughter-in-law Amiee Matherne; his grandchildren, Blake, Paige, Matthew and Madeline Matherne; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Truett (Bren) and Tammy Truett West (David). He is also survived by 4 great nieces, many nieces and nephews.
