She was predeceased by: her parents, Elphege Prejean and Annie Prejean; her siblings, Roy Prejean (Tuttie), Carroll Prejean (June) and Millie Leatham (Harry); her niece Pat Leatham; her nephew Daniel Prejean; and her great-nephew Stephen Vix.
She is survived by: her spouse Bernhardt Joseph Hunter, Sr. (Bernie); her sons, Bernhardt J. Hunter, Jr. (Connie), Christopher Paul Hunter (Katie) and Kevin Michael Hunter (Donna); her grandchildren, Jilliann Dreher (Drew), Megan Boucvalt (Gabe), Anthony Hunter (Blake), Ryan Hunter (Hailey) and Catherine Elise Hunter; and her great grandchildren, Murphy, Annie, Townsend, Hunter Dreher, Emma Harper, Alden Boucvalt, Jade, Cassie Hunter, Finley and Harrison Hunter.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, who cared so lovingly for Mimi and her family in her final days.
