We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Joann Cunningham of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in Ferriday, Louisiana. She was predeceased by: her parents, Revester Melancon (Solomon McCoy) and Eddie Myers; her sister Donna Marie Rauls; her daughter Elaine Shorty; and her great grandchild Jhaylen Zaire Gibbs.
She is survived by: her children, James, Gerard, Dana, Danielle, Eloise, Mary Louise and Wanda. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, over 20 great grandchildren and her 3 god children.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (1565 Curtis St, Baton Rouge, LA 70807). A rosary will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
